Spec Shock Design Philosophy

The NASCAR Mexico calendar includes ovals, road courses, and street circuits. Penske Racing Shocks developed a single balanced spec shock configuration designed to perform consistently across all track types. Rather than optimizing for one specific condition, the NASCAR Mexico spec shock emphasizes predictability and adjustment flexibility. Teams do not need to rebuild shocks between events. Performance tuning is handled through external adjusters, allowing efficient setup changes while maintaining technical compliance.  This approach minimizes variability, reduces maintenance demands, and supports equal competition throughout the season.

Racer and Official Technical Support

Penske Racing Shocks provides full technical transparency to support NASCAR Mexico competitors and series officials. Each spec shock is backed by documentation designed to assist both racers and scrutineers.

Related Spec Series: COPA and COPA Lite

The NASCAR Mexico partnership expanded into additional touring car series, including COPA and COPA Lite. These championships compete primarily on road courses and often share events with NASCAR Mexico.
Many team owners participate in multiple series, operating NASCAR Mexico, COPA, and COPA Lite cars throughout the season. Penske Racing Shocks supplies spec shock packages across all three series, providing consistent technical standards, documentation, and support
