Drag Racing
Allen Johnson ended the western swing on a positive note with his first win of the season. The Mopar Mile High Nationals of Bandimere Speedway continues to be stomping grounds for Allen. He captured the pole, set the new speed record, and dominated the race with low ET passes every round.
IRL Racing
After a tumultuous race, Target Chip Ganassi Racing had a one / three finish at the Honda Indy Edmonton at City Centre Airport this weekend, with Scott Dixon in first and Dario Franchitti finishing third. Penske Racing's Will Power finished second for his sixth victory of the season and teamate Ryan Briscoe finished up in fourth.
Short Track Racing
Lance Dewease had his first Lernerville Speedway victory on Tuesday night by winning the first Twin 30 of the evening. Dewease was the 14th different driver to score a victory in a main event with the World of Outlaws this season and was the sixth of his career with the series.
Rick Laubach won the 25-lap Tri-Track Big Block Modified feature at Bridgeport Speedway on Wednesday night. This was his second 2010 win at Bridgeport.
The World of Outlaws Summer Nationals 25-lap sprint car feature at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night belonged to Lance Dewease. The victory for Dewease was his fourth of the season at Williams Grove and the 74th of his career at this historic half mile.
Craig Von Dohren had his eighth victory of the season at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. Starting from the 12th position, Von Dohren charged his way to first place in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 30-lap 358-modified feature. The win marked Von Dohren's 13th overall triumph of the 2010 season.
On Saturday, July 24th, the Brian Cannon Motorsports, Steve & Scott VanDen Broeke, Autism Awareness, Coors Light #47 headed to Petaluma CA for a 360 Civil War Race. Andy had smooth sailing to the finish and picked up his 2nd Civil War victory of the year and the first 2 time winner so far in the series, and holds onto the points lead by 12.
