Win #4 for Andy Forsberg

Chico, CA, (July 12, 2010) - On Friday, July 9th, the A&A Motorsports #92 headed to Chico, CA, for a 410 points race.  Andy was 2nd quick, 6th in his heat, and would start 17th in the main event.  With no B main, there was no opportunity to get your qualifying time back behind the inversion so the fast qualifiers that did not transfer out the heats were forced to start in the back of the field.

Andy was moving forward running the high side, and by lap 11 was in 7th place.  On a lap 12 restart, Andy drove around the 6th & 5th place car.  Working on the 4th place car, they got too close and Andy was forced off the track.  When Andy came back on he was again in last place, so once again he started working himself around the cars getting back up to the 6th place car and on the move.  As he rounded the turn, his luck would run out and he would get tangled up in a couple others car wrecks already in progress. With only 5 laps left and a little damage, Andy would just try to finish the race and came across the line in 14th place.

On Saturday, July 10th, the Brian Cannon Motorsports, Autism Awareness, Coors Light #47 headed to Placerville, CA, for a 360 points race.  Andy was 7th quick, 4th in his heat, and would start 3rd in the A main event.  At the start of the race, Andy knew the car felt great, and by lap # 2, Andy moved into the 2nd spot.  On a lap 5 restart, he moved to the outside on turns 1 & 2 and drove around the leader, Mason Moore, for the lead.  He never looked back to score his 4th win of the year and his first win at his home track this year.  Andy holds a 23 point lead over Scott Russell for the Championship.

This upcoming weekend, the Brian Cannon Motorsports, Autism Awareness, Coors Light #47 will head to Ocean Speedway in Watsonvill,e CA, for a 360 Civil War points show and on Saturday, July 17th, the team will be back to Placerville, CA, for the $5000.00 to win Mark Forni Memorial 360 points show.

Andy wanted to thank all his Sponsors, Fans, & Team Members for sticking with him through a very tough month of June.  Hopefully this win is the start of good things to come.
