Short Track Racing
Craig Von Dohren won at Big Diamond Raceway on Friday with a remarkable outside lane pass from fourth to first in one single circuit. The current points leader captured his second straight 358 Modified feature win and fourth overall of the season.
Brad Brightbill, the 2008 track champion, grabbed his first Sportsman win of the year at Big Diamond Raceway on Friday. Brightbill became the fourteenth different winner in the Sportsman class. There have been no repeat winners in this division in 2010. It was Brightbill’s tenth career BDR main event victory.
Levi Jones took the lead in lap 19 and led the final 12 laps towards his fourth career ISW win in the Tony Stewart Racing STP/Bass Pro Shops Maxim/Kistler Chevy at the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car Series event in Kokomo, IN. Jones has a 32-point Indiana Sprint Week lead after Sunday night’s victory.
Andy Forsberg celebrated a victory in the 11th round of the Red Hawk Casino Championship 360 Sprints Series on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway in California. Forsberg, driver of the Brian Cannon Motorsports #47, is the current points leader at Placerville.
Ryan Smith moved from his eighth starting position on Saturday to win the first of two 20 lap ARDC Midget features at Williams Grove Speedway.
Sean McClelland won the third round of the ASCS Red River Challenge at Lawton Speedway on Saturday night. McClelland led all 25 rounds of the ASCS Sooner vs. Lone Star main event on the way to his 13th career overall ASCS feature win.
