High Performance Street

Stemming from widespread success in professional motorsport, Penske Racing Shocks have found a home in the high-performance street market. Due to technological advances in street car suspensions and increased demands on performance as well as the desire to have truly custom built components, PRS supplies many current applications. In the past, to have a high-performance street suspension meant a rough ride under normal driving conditions with increased performance during track days and autocross events. Due to the variety of internal damping components with a racing pedigree as well as a wide range of external adjustment types, there are no longer compromises when looking for a suspension shock package for dual street and track cars. Cars can be driven to and from the track with a supple feel and then dialed in for a more aggressive handling set-up within seconds. Additionally, since most aftermarket suspension packages involve lowering ride heights and stiffening spring rates, having an adjustable shock with adjusted damping levels is essential in optimizing the redefined dynamic response of the OE suspension for safety, ride quality, and performance. The fact that all Penske shocks are custom built and matched also is an enhancement to high-performance street cars as our tolerances are much tighter than those offered by OE dampers. Just having 2 shocks that match each other can make a substantial difference in consistent lap times and driver confidence.
