FAQ: High-Performance Street
Q. What products does Penske have for my car?
A. See Current Applications for vehicles we currently supply products for. However, we are a custom damper manufacturer and welcome all inquiries for products not yet listed.
Q. What is the advantage of purchasing Penske Shocks for my car?
A. Dampers with racing quality tolerances are an improvement in consistency and performance over OE installed shocks alone. Additionally, using a racing damper (not a variation, but an actual racing damper) is designed to perform flawlessly under aggressive driving conditions to maximize the performance of your vehicle under all conditions.
Q. What do Penske Shocks cost for my car?
A. Penske shocks for current applications range from $1800-7000 per car set depending on the features and vehicle installation.
Q. I have a non-coil over shock car. Can I get Penske Shocks to fit?
A. Yes. Penske Shocks come in both coil-over and non-coil-over types. If you desire to convert your car to a coil-over shock type, we advise you consult your prep shop or a reputable aftermarket tuning house.
Q. How quickly can I get Penske Shocks for my car?
A. Most standard applications can be shipped in 2-3 weeks or more quickly depending on your needed timeframe. For a complete custom application, 6-8 weeks is standard.
Q. How adjustable are Penske shocks?
A. Depending on the model chosen, you may have anywhere from no external adjustment (all Penske shocks can be rebuilt easily) to 4-way adjustable shocks. See the product section for details on adjustment types.
Q. How often do I need to have my Penske Shocks serviced?
A. Depending on the driving conditions (i.e. daily driving, autocross, time attack, etc.), we will recommend a suitable service interval. Normal daily driving would be a once annual service.
